We have created this listing specifically for our next day availability for queen bees.
When there is stock available here the queens are available to send immediately and are surplus from the current delivery week, having only been pulled today or the previous day, so are perfect for getting into a queenless colony.

Stock levels are live, if these queens are showing in stock it means we have the queens available ready to go!
If you order by 1pm on Friday for example you will receive your Queen(s) on Saturday before 1pm.
We post queens out Monday to Friday meaning you can receive a queen Tuesday to Saturday.
Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on Monday for delivery Tuesday.

If you order before 1pm (Monday to Friday) we will dispatch same day with Royal Mail Special Delivery which is a pre-1pm insured service. For example order on Friday before 1pm, you will receive your queen on Saturday before 1pm.
Royal mail special delivery is a signed for service, we only send queens with Royal Mail Special delivery as the queens go through hands only rather than machines and receive much greater care than regular post.
We have both Northumberland Buckfast and Northumberland Dark Bees available. As this listing is for Urgent Next Day Queens, the type will be available based on what we have in stock at the time.
We are breeders and rearers of queens, not resellers like many queen retailers, all our queens are bred by us in the UK and do well in the conditions presented to them by the UK climate. Our primary aim is to address the shortage of quality home raised queens in the UK and provide buckfast queens for sale from our selected VSH (Varroa Sensitive and Hygienic) stock. We manage 700 mating nucs, supplying queens to both commercial beekeepers and small scale beekeepers.

We were fortunate enough to collect a Buckfast swarm from a local farm cottage. We had an empty hive that we took them to, leaving them to settle. We checked on them to see how they were doing, only to find that they were queenless. The first thing I thought of was Northumberland Honey Co.
We ordered the Urgent Queen delivery. Luke and Suzie go the extra mile for their customers. Within minutes of the order on their website, I received a confirmation email. Then I was sent a tracking number. We were able to check the delivery – the information about what to do and how to look after the queen on arrival. Inside the box lid is a pedigree chart that lets you know the strain of bee and which hive it came from.

It was one of those situations every beekeeper experiences, the suddenly discovered need for a queen. Northumberland Honey Co was the answer to our problem, having a few queens available for urgent dispatch. The order was placed a little before 1pm and the queen duly arrived by post the next morning.
