Description
The most unique bottle of traditional method Sparkling Mead in the world.
This vintage is made up of the very first 50 bottles of Sparkling Mead to have been produced by Luke and Suzie / Northumberland Honey Co.
Having now been ageing on the lees since 2016, this is the oldest aged traditional method Sparkling Mead that we know of. The result is an impressive flavour profile, finishing demi-sec this is the sweetest bottle in the range, significantly complemented by the flavours of honey roast almonds and fresh pollen brought about by the extensive ageing process, along with a gentle acidity and long lasting fine bubbles.
This bottle is not only a seriously good drinker it also tells the story of Northumberland Honey Co since it’s inception. From a time when only 40 colonies of bees were kept by Luke and Suzie. These bottles have been in stillage in Haltwhistle right from the start and have witnessed not only the company grow and move premises, but also Luke and Suzies family grow, welcoming Archie and recently baby Jasper.
This is a bottle of legend, and truely is one of a kind.
A bottle that should be held in high esteem which will appeal to collectors and sparkling mead fans alike.
